A Story
In dawn's hour, sun breaks on the Old Towers, The Great Bay below the temples like a ancient grandmother. Mist sleeps, where you await the tribe's return, on the her east shores, knapping a blade from a broken bottle.
Then, the flock begins to emerge from the cloud. Soundlessly, they glide toward you with perfect cohesion, that morning's catch strung from the Umiak. Master mariner signs to ready the ropes. Now, sweet cedar smoke is conjured from a fire board. The child raises her tinder bundle to the sky and from her lips draws the flame. Young men are painting up for the hunt.
You too have stalked these banks to the failed city and traded with the townies, you have camouflaged your body in their clothes, worked in their offices, lent your eyes to their screens. There was even a time you forgot who you were, how it feels to release an arrow, the music of the bowstring resonating, the route of your blood, the path of those who came before… You felt you were asleep for a long while. The world engined on. And then, one day, you woke up...

What is TrackersTEAMS?
The TrackersTEAMS immersion program is designed to sew people in the seasons and the land they live. Through this cycle of connection we build healthier relationships with everyone around us.
We are not simply learning skills of craft and eloquence. We are retelling our story. All our programs are meant to both literally and figuratively feed you. They are meant to clothe and shelter you. TrackersTEAMS immersion program is an exploration of a new culture that the world needs to exist.
We are not teachers. We are guides collaborating with participants to tell a new story.
All models are wrong and some are useful
This means that it pays to have a formal method of understanding things. And it also pays to understand that when you're looking at a set of deer tracks, in the reed canary grass, over the beaver trail, coming from the dogwood thicket, that it speaks of a moment that has never happened before and will never happen again. It is truly unique in all the glory of its details both great and small. Tracking and Trackers is an eye and eloquence for details. Tracking and Trackers is the extreme competency of being fully observant. Tracking and Trackers is an adventure completely in the moment. We also have what we call "working agreements." These are the things that people can trust us to do well and follow through with all our heart.
